You know what? I'd go for the Kia. There, I said it.

I like the Kia a lot to be fair though I’d probably still take the SEAT.
Interior looks a nice place to be.

I driven one (lower spec diesel) and it was a fine car.

i’d prefer a 5-door for practical reasons

I’d love a little three door just for me to chill in.
I’m all for practical. For practical I’d go for the estate.
SEAT Leon 1.4TSi EcoTSI ST FR Technology.

Ford Focus 1.0Ecoboost ST-Line X estate

one Focus please.
:)

I prefer that front of the ST-Line X
Over the regular one.
it the same with the Fiesta
Regular Fiesta, ST-Line, ST, Vignale and Active.
The front of the ST-Line and ST look better.

Curse you and your available 3 door hatches. I don’t think a single one is offered here in the states.
![]() 10/02/2018 at 08:10 |

i prefer the bottom Fiesta front honestly.
Focus however you’re correct

No they aren’t. I think you get the A3 is available in saloon and five door hatchback.
And of course Ford won’t be taking the Fiesta or even the Focus now over to North America.
The Focus estate is quite a handsome car.

The Active? Really?
![]() 10/02/2018 at 08:31 |

yep, no chrome like the other two standard ones and the ST/ST-line just don’t do it for me

The one above the Active is the Vignale, far from standard, it’s the top of the range and £1,500 more than the next vehicle (ST-Line X) below it.
The Active has a lot of bare plastic and five door only.
But hey. Were all different.

I would settle for the KODO 2. I might have to hunt one down in puerto rico next year and have it shipped over.

What is a ‘KODO 2'?

2015+ Mazda 2

I never thought about Mazda or the Mazda2.
(It’s not a 3 door either, but you don’t get many of them so I’ll let you off).

That’s almost exactly how I would spec it out. The lack of 3 door option is a bummer. Previous gen 2s had a 3 door option. I saw some when I was in Coventry for work. Such a good looking 3 door, same with the 3 door 1 series bmw.

Ye’, the 3 door went up to 2013.
A colleague had one in a metallic blue.
I’m not a fan of the 1 Series. Someone I know had one while her M3 was in the shop.
The dimensions weren’t all that dissimilar both inside or outside but the 1 Series didn’t look as good as the 3 Series.

I can agree with you there. I really liked that it had similar powertrains but was lighter. I didn’t hate the 128i coupe I had.

You used to be able to get poverty spec MINIs for under US$20k, (our 2008 lightly optioned was about MSRP $22 new) I wonder what the base price is in £ is these days.

This side of the pond £20,000 will get you pretty much any Mini hatchback.
It’s pretty much just the 2.0 Cooper S and John Cooper Works that’s above £20,000.
Though looking at Autotrader U.K. there are Mini Cooper S, 2.0 192bhp for just under £20,000 with one to 10 miles on the clock.

Very nice, I’d have any of those. Our 2008 was still going strong when we totally impulse bought the 2013 - it was lightly used, only 8k miles, still in calendar 2013 even and loaded (including Recaros) . I think we paid about $27 for what must have been around $34 new. The 50k MINI warranty is nice.

Nice. Always great when you get what you want that’s reliable and under price.

We were at the local MINI dealer when suddenly, Look at this gorgeous orange one! And it’s a Manual! And an S! And Recaros! And not too expensive! And actually it’s had the fewest problems of any recent cars we’ve had

They are nice cars, as long as I don’t have to sit in the back, my body doesn’t contort the way it used to to climb into the rear.

I always look at the MINI as a very comfortable 2-seater that can cram 4 in a pinch. And since I’ve needed to take more than 2 only a handful of times in the 10 years we’ve owned MINIs it’s perfect for us. GTI or the Jaguar can handle the rest.
It actually works best to put the tall people in back and the short in front so the seats can be fairly far forward. Headroom is actually quite good back there if you don’t have the moon roof. But it does require some maneuvers to get back there.
